About me
Hi, I'm Agustín Juárez.
Software developer from Salta, Argentina — focused on AI, process automation, and community building.
I've spent 2 years working as a freelance developer, which taught me to take projects end-to-end: understanding the client's problem, designing the solution, and shipping it to production. In parallel I study Computer Engineering, which gives me the theoretical foundation to understand the 'why' behind every technical decision — not just the 'how'.
My focus is on AI integration and process automation, with a particular interest in applying AI to agriculture — a sector where technology has a direct impact on the regional economy. Beyond that, I explore every field of computing: I'm comfortable across web2 and web3, and I'm drawn to any domain where software solves real problems.
Before all of this, in 2022 I won Emprendeamos — an ideathon backed by Endeavor, Ledesma SAAI, and Escuela Técnica Ing. Herminio Arrieta — where the goal wasn't an idea on slides but a real venture, with validation and execution. It was my first experience building under deadline pressure, with a pitch and real users. Four years later I was back on the podium: 2nd place at VendimiaTech 2026, a 48-hour hackathon focused on blockchain and web3.
Community — SaltaDev
SaltaDev is the tech hub of northern Argentina: a community connecting developers, designers, and entrepreneurs in Salta. With 1000+ active members and 20+ partner organizations, we run meetups, workshops, and hackathons, and share jobs, courses, and resources to foster local talent.
I'm a staff member of the community and co-founder of the SaltaDev Foundation. I coordinate technical events, mentor teams during hackathons, and represent the community at regional and national events. I'm a firm believer in networking, coworking, and growing as a community.
As part of the staff, I helped organize Puna Tech 2026 — the province's largest AI conference, with 1500+ attendees — where I also participated as a speaker and mentor. I also organized the Salta satellite node for VendimiaTech 2026, coordinating teams, schedules, and local logistics during the hackathon.
salta.devAI & Automation
I design and implement AI agents and architectures oriented toward process automation, seeking to optimize operational efficiency through intelligent solutions.
My special interest is bringing AI to agriculture: a key sector of the regional economy where technology has a direct impact. I gave a talk on AI applied to agriculture, AI agents, and blockchain at Puna Tech 2026.
Web3 & Blockchain
I explore the decentralized ecosystem by building with Solidity and Rust and actively participating in its communities. I'm interested in what decentralized technology can bring to real problems — from agricultural traceability to financial infrastructure.
I'm a collaborator at Team1 — the Avalanche builders community — and a Stellar ambassador. Much of my web3 experience was forged in hackathons, turning ideas into functional demos under pressure.
At Sub0 (Polkadot) 2025 I built Leivy, a grant-analysis system for ecosystem projects. At Aleph 2026 I developed Ink, a smart contract risk detector with AI-assisted analysis and IPFS integration. And at VendimiaTech 2026 I took 2nd place with VitisTrust, an oracle that certifies vineyards via satellite monitoring.
